This makes potatoes easy to plant because they can grow progressively even without frequent attention given to them. Also, potatoes are do not get spoiled easily so upon harvest time, they can be stored for quite a while before being used in cooking.

Even though potatoes can tolerate some change in the weather, it is still important that you give them protection whenever necessary. Potatoes grow very well under the heat of the sun that is why they can be best planted during spring into summer. When you need to plant potatoes during the cold season, just make sure you create a protective covering to keep your potatoes from getting from and eventually getting spoiled.
